UMI
UMI SHI is an interdisciplinary visual artist, fashion designer, director, and researcher working across interactive media, moving image, live performance, and body-centred visual practice. She graduated with Distinction from the MA Performance: Screen programme at Central Saint Martins, University of the Arts London, and previously studied Fashion Design at Donghua University.
Her work explores how emerging technologies, interactive systems, and sensory environments reshape perception, media ethics, and human–technology relations. She often uses game like, sweet, glamorous, or seemingly harmless forms to contain sharp critiques of digital culture, technological power, and mediated violence.
